Steps to reset Brother TN660 toner

For Brother DCP / MFC Series Printers (DCP-L2520DW, DCP-L2540DW, MFC-L2680W, MFC-L2685DW, MFC-L2700DW, MFC-L2705DW, MFC-L2707DW):


  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press the Up or Down Arrow to display the General Configuration option, then
  3. press OK.
  4. Press the Up or Down Arrow to display the Replace Toner option, then
  5. press OK.
  6. Press use the Up or Down Arrows to display the Continue or Stop option,
  7. then press OK.
  8. Press Stop / Exit. / Stop / exit


For Brother HL Series Printers (HL-L2300D, HL-L2305W, HL-L2315DW, HL-L2320D, HL-L2340DW, HL-L2360DW, HL-L2380DW):


  1. Open the front cover and leave it open.
  2. Turn off the printer.
  3. Hold the GO button while turning the printer ON.
  4. After 3 seconds release the buttons. (You should have the message, “Mode
  5. user / User Mode ”if you don't have one, don't worry)
  6. Press the Go button 9 times.
  7. WiFi LED (if you have it) will blink once. (If you haven't, go to the next step.)
  8. Press the Go button 5 times.
  9. Close the cover.



For Brother MFC Laser Printers (MFC-L2720DW, MFC-L2740DW):


  1. Open the front cover of the Brother MFC to access its toner cartridge.
  2. Press and hold the pound button (#) for about 5 seconds
  3. to display the toner menu on the screen. (The # key will be hidden. If you don't know where it is, press fax to find it, then press clear to perform the reset from your menu)
  4. Select the toner you need to reset / reset (For TN630 choose STD for TN660 choose HC.)
  5. Select YES to reset / reset.
  6. Close the cover.
